A Modern Phone or a Camera Is Enough
You can take part using either a modern phone or a camera. Buying new equipment is not required. If you are unsure whether your device is suitable, contact AL Dante before enrolling.
How the month is built
- 01
Foundations, Setup, and Creative Direction
Meet the group and establish a practical foundation for the month. We will cover equipment choices, organizing a filming and editing workspace, essential software, visual direction, project preparation, and core principles of creating visual food content. The final part of the session is reserved for students’ questions.

Filming: Light, Camera, Framing, and Movement
Prepare the shooting space, choose a workable light setup, configure a modern phone or camera, and plan the shots needed for the final edit. Review short technical tests where useful.

Editing: Selection, Rhythm, Sound, and Color
Build the rough cut of the same project, make deliberate choices about pacing and music, add sound, and complete a practical DaVinci Resolve color workflow.

Final Project Review and Q&A
Review the completed student videos, give each participant a small number of clear priorities for improving the next project, and answer final questions about the projects, workflow, and next steps.

Develop your own visual direction. Study the creators whose work genuinely speaks to you, identify the choices you want to explore, and combine those references consciously. The goal is not to copy AL Dante, but to create a first project that begins to feel like your own.
One video of your own
The main project is submitted before the fourth live session and reviewed with the group. If you do not manage to finish in time, you have seven more calendar days to send it in — that work receives a short individual recorded review.
Price and how payment works
The remaining $949 is due 3 calendar days before the start date.
Reserve your place- The recorded course without live sessions is sold separately for $499 and has no fixed duration — you study at your own pace with lifetime access.
- The program is designed for a small group of approximately 10 participants. Availability is limited. Reserve a place in your selected language cohort with a $50 deposit.
- Final cohort placement and schedule are confirmed personally by AL Dante. If placement in your selected cohort cannot be confirmed, you may transfer your deposit to another language cohort or the next available program, or receive a full refund.
- All sales are final. The deposit is refundable or transferable only if the program is cancelled, placement in the selected language cohort cannot be confirmed, the start date moves beyond the permitted seven-day window, or a refund is required by applicable law.

What equipment do I need?
A modern phone or a camera. Buying new equipment is not required. If you are unsure whether your device is suitable, contact AL Dante before enrolling.
What if I do not finish my project before the final session?
You will have an additional seven calendar days to submit it. Projects submitted during this extended period will receive a brief individual recorded review. Feedback is not guaranteed for projects submitted after the extended deadline.
Do I need previous experience?
No. The program starts with the idea and preparation, and every step is shown in practice. Experienced videographers usually focus on light, movement and color.
What language are the sessions in?
The English and Russian groups are separate. Each session runs in the language of its group; the recorded library is available in both.
What if I miss a session?
Every session is recorded and stays available. Assignments and feedback are not tied to being present live.
How much time does the project take?
Plan for a few hours a week. One of them is a full shoot, so it is easier to set aside a longer block for it.
Do I get feedback on my work?
Yes. One original video submitted before the final live session is reviewed personally, and the group review takes place during the fourth session.
Do you guarantee views or income?
No. The program teaches the craft of making cinematic food video. What happens to a particular video depends on many things outside a course.
